Appointments and telephone system information

PLEASE NOTE following feedback we are working towards changing how we manage our appointments system.

We have now returned to a predominately face to face GP service.

Face to face GP appointments are available to be booked each day at 11 am for that day two weeks. Some routine issues can be dealt with over the telephone and should you wish for this our care navigators in reception will assist you with this.   Some things will require assessment therefore, we ask that you accept the guidance given.

General Practice is not an emergency service but each morning we have a small number of telephone calls will be released these will be limited for on the day acute and medically emergency issues, please note the doctor may require you to attend on the day for assessment.   Once these slots are full we will be at our maximum safe capacity for that day and extras cannot be added.

The afternoon remains medical emergency only.

Please be respectful to our reception staff as they deal with your questions.

In addition we have phone access to a Duty Doctor for urgent on the day medical queries from 8.30am to 10.30am.  Please dial option 1.  Please note that once all these calls have been allocated you will be asked to ring back the next day.  Thank you for your co-operation.

We also have a Doctor who will deal with medical emergencies both morning and afternoon.  Please dial option 2.

Please note that our reception closes from 12.30 to 1.30 each day (emergency telephone access is still available - for medical emergencies only).

Routine calls ie, book a routine telephone call, nurse appointments, fit notes & university certs/letter from 11.00am. Please dial option 3.   Please note that once all these calls have been allocated you will be asked to ring back the next day.  Thank you for your co-operation.
